'sierra's bridals'

(If your name is Dylan Davis, please see your way to the little red X in the upper right hand corner of the screen.)

Just to give you, and especially Sierra, a fair warning: Despite my knowing better... I'm going to be getting a little gushy. :) I have to admit, I've been looking forward to doing Sierra's bridals for quite some time. I've also been anxious to see her in this gorgeous white gown. (Again Dylan, seriously, it better be July 12th if you're still reading this...) I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew it would be a really special shoot. I was horribly unprepared to walk into my living room where Dena, Sierra's mom, was helping her slip into her dress. It's going to sound so absolutely l-a-m-e, but I couldn't fight back the cloud of tears that crept their way up as my mind played back images of two seven year old girls dancing to Amy Grant and "chasing" two seven year old twin boys with mullets through our elementary school years. She looked stunning. And the reality of it all, along with the rate at which it seemed to be happening, was a little overwhelming.

But Si, even though I'm pretty sure that was as painful to read if not MORE so than the time I wrote you a birthday song when we were ten... I think you should know that this is truly one of the most innocently beautiful photo shoots I've ever produced.

And I love you.

Okay, that was a bit much. I like you... a little. :) I hope you like them.

...it's always hard to choose a favorite when you're the photographer. Typically, it's almost impossible to narrow it down. Sierra's bridal shoot was no exception. Sometimes, you just have to make a decision. So... even though it ties for my affection with a few others... here is my "pic of the day":

Until the 11th.....

'sidnee & stephen engagements'

My little sister is getting married. I couldn't be more excited for her, but to be very honest... It's hard to see her grow up so much. I still think of her as my baby sister, I probably always will. It was so neat being able to photograph her with her fiance, Stephen Murray. I'm thrilled I got to document the beginning of the rest of her life with him. Being a part of this whole experience has put a lot of love in my heart, as most couple photo shoots do. They are a very bright, beautiful, happy couple. Very photogenic, and very much... in love.

Thank you for sharing this experience with me, I wish you both the happiest of engagements and am excited to be a witness to a whole lot more of this kind of love... on your wedding day.
