'sierra & dylan engagements'

Sierra and I have been friends since 2nd grade... and when I found out she was getting married, I was pretty excited for her. When I found out she was marrying Dylan, someone who I had only just met, but "fell in love" with instantly, I couldn't believe how perfect they were for each other. I was privileged that they chose me as their photographer, and am proud to introduce the future: Mr. and Mrs. Davis.

We started out at a baseball field in Boise, Idaho where Dylan used to play ball for Capital High School. It was such a fitting scene for them, because, as Sierra put it, Dylan is "such a baseball stud." :) The sun was bright and the grass was green.

We then made our way to downtown Boise to do some urban style photos. I love the color in these next few shots, as well as the emotion that comes through their body language. They have that ooey gooey newly engaged couple in love feeling to em.

Somewhere in there we ended up in the middle of Hyde Park and found this great bench. The saying on the window fits them to a T.

This next series was probably my favorite of the day. It was such a fun location with lots of bright colorful patterns. These two were hilarious all day long, but I think I actually laughed until I cried during this session. The things they'll do to get the other to smile.....

I thought this spot was very fitting for these two love tigers. We definitely got more than we bargained for. This was the part of the session where we met our new homeless friend Jeffie. During the middle of the shoot, a strange man walked up to us and asked if I'd take his picture. He insisted on posing with Dylan and Sierra and was really, very, probably overly, friendly. But Happy Birthday again Jeffie. Thanks for the memories. :)

These last few pictures are smokin hot. We utilized a bright red telephone booth near BSU campus in creating some pre-tty steamy moments. There is a lot of fire between these two.

It was a very enjoyable sunshiny day in my hometown with some good friends. It was probably the most fun I've had at work in a long time. :) Man I love my job! Congratulations Sierra and Dylan, I can't wait for your wedding.

Be sure to stay tuned for Sierra's bridals...to be photographed soon.

'an oldie but a goodie'

I did this photo shoot on November 1, 2008, with Sidnee. It's one of my favorite shoots that I've done so far. As I continue booking clients in Spring and through the Summer time I often find myself longing for these beautiful Fall colors. Every season has something incredible to offer a photographer, but for me in particular, Fall is the whole package. Now if we could just get Winter to keep from coming.....

Here are some favorites from the session we did. Her personality and versatility as a model really came through, and I had a lot of fun being a part of it.
